Wick trimming is essential. Trim all wicks to ¼ inch before each burn to prevent high flames, excess soot, and overheating of the vessel. Failure to trim wicks regularly can increase the risk of fire.
Always burn on a flat, heat-resistant surface and discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains.
